Painting Pumpkins with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan
October 14, 2014
Rather than carving pumpkins this year, we decided to doll them up with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. These cuties can be used to decorate a fireplace, an entry table, or fill up a basket or tray to make an Autumn centerpiece.
What we Used:
Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan (Arles, Barcelona Orange, Primer Red, Emperor's SIlk, Graphite)
Gold Gilding Wax *For Indoor Pumpkins Only
Assorted Halloween Ornaments and Ribbon *Available at The Owl Box
What we Came up With:
Bohemian Stripes made with Arles, Barcelona Orange, Emperor's Silk, and Primer Red
Painted with Arles and Emperor's Silk, Adorned with Ribbon and a Halloween Ornament
Swirls Painted with Graphite, Barcelona Orange, and Gold GIlding Wax; Adorned with Halloween Ornaments
On these smaller gourds we played with polka dots and some more gold gilding wax! Have fun with Annie's beautiful colors, mix them up! Layer them on top of eachother! If you'll be displaying these indoors, richen them up with Annie Sloan's Clear and Dark Wax.
Whether you are carving, painting, or eating pumpkins this October, we hope you enjoy it! Wishing you all a fabulous Fall season full of crafting, family, and pie!
